The primary way to help blog visitors locate the content they want is by providing a blog search tool and using categories and tags in each blog post.
A search feature is built into the header of your blog theme, so that option is covered.
When editing a Post, the right column contains options to specify “Post Tags” and “Categories.” I would recommend focusing your efforts on Categories unless you blog more than once a week. Categories show up at the top of your post and when clicked, sort all your posts to show only posts containing that category.
Categories are large areas of interest, such as “Family” and “Ministry.” You might consider adding “Prayer Requests” and the names of your individual family members.” You can add a category using the “+ Add New Category” menu at the bottom of the right-hand Categories box. Hint: You can also designate a category “parent” so that family member could each be added as subcategories of the “Family” category.
Post Tags are keywords that appear in your posts. These are more specific than categories, but might be a large enough area of interest for you to specify. Some examples might be: literacy, translation and teaching.
You may also manage your Post Tags and Categories under the Posts tab on the left side of your blog dashboard.
