Is there a way to track visitor activity on my blog?

September 3, 2009 by Stephen Narwold

Yes. There is a way to track everything that visitors to your blog are doing using Google Analytics.

You have to start a free Google Analytics account and then copy and paste your Google Analytics ID (something like this “UA-396xxx-x) into the “Google Analytics ID” field near the bottom of the All in One SEO >> General Settings. You will find “All in One SEO” on the left menu of your dashboard near the bottom.

Make sure you click “Update Options >>” after you have added your Google Analytics ID to save your changes.

If you do not have a Google Analytics ID, visit www.google.com/analytics to set up an account. Here’s a post about setting up a Google Analytics account if you need instructions.

Your tracking code will automatically be added to every page and post of your blog and you should start seeing visitor activity results in your Google Analytics account within a couple days.
