When editing a post, place your cursor at the location in your post where you would like to insert a photo. You will find the “Add media” option between the place where you enter your post title and the top of the text box tool icons.
If you’re using the Gutenberg editor, simply add an “Image” block, and pick up the narrative in a new block below the image block.
Clicking on “Upload/Insert” imeadiately above the toolbar will bring up a window that will allow you to select files from your computer.
Select the photo you would like to upload. Once the photo is uploaded, you may fill in Caption and Description information if you wish. If you would like a visitor to be able to click on the photo to view the photo at original photo size, click “File URL.”
Recommended Alignment is “Left” and the recommended Size is “Medium.”
“Insert into Post” to place the photo in your post.
If you would like to edit or delete your photo after it has been inserted in your post, you may click on the photo and “Edit Image” or “Delete Image” options will appear.
If you add multiple photos in a row with captions, you will need to press the [Enter] key after each image is inserted in order to get out of the “Caption” box. If you insert new images with captions without pressing [Enter] after each one’s inserted, all but the first photo will disappear and the captions will all be crammed together under that one photo.
